The Festival of Tennis will be celebrated on Saturday – September 22, 2018 at Craiglockhart. There will be various free sessions on the day organised at Craiglockhart Leisure & Tennis Centre located at 177 Colinton Rd, Edinburgh EH14 1BZ.
Craiglockhart Leisure & Tennis Centre, which is a part of Edinburgh Leisure, have been renovated and come up with its new 6 outdoor tennis courts funded by Tennis Scotland and SportScotland. The new courts are ready now with all weather floodlit courts and to mark the celebrations, they invite people to the fun filled festival of Tennis on 22nd September scheduled between 2 pm to 4 pm.
The festival will begin with formal ribbon cutting at 2 pm and then about culmination of a collaboration between Edinburgh Leisure, Sportsscotland and Tennis Scotland on redevelopment of their tennis courts at Craiglockhart.
Come along with your family and friends to enjoy the matches of Scottish Tennis stars, book your free taster sessions to try out tennis with top coaches and various special free programmes for adults and children whether you are having experience or never touched the racquets.

Performance Players Matches
You can find more of fun on the centre court where you can enjoy matches of performance players. Also you will get a chance to meet some of Scotland’s key players say National Coach – Colin Fleming.
Disability Tennis Sessions:
You can find how tennis could adapt to ensure as many people as to enjoy it. There will be sessions of tennis for all including those need additional support, older people, people with hearing impaired, visually disabled and wheelchair users. Just turn up and no need for booking.
Drop In Sessions “She Rallies”:
There will be special drop in sessions for girls and women. This is a part of Judy Murray’s programme which aims to encourage participation of more number of women and girls coaching and tennis playing across the country. Just turn up for the session and no need for booking.
Free Taster Sessions “Bookable Tennis”:
There will be different taster sessions which are on bookable basis and call 0131 443 0101 to book your place. There will be sessions between 2.30 pm to 3 pm for Kids (aged 5-8) / Adult Doubles, between 3 pm to 3.30 pm for Kids (aged 9-12) / Kids Cardio Tennis (8-14 years) and between 3.30 pm to 4 pm for Teens (aged 12-17) / Adult Doubles / Family Cardio Tennis.
