Free workshop on reducing energy bills for businesses

There has been a free workshop organised by The Carbon Trust on Tuesday – September 11, 2018 at Mandela House, 4 Regent St, Cambridge CB2 1BY, United Kingdom between 9 am to 12 noon.

Businesses are welcome to attend the free session and it aims to help the SME Companies to save on energy bills and how to apply for a grant funding upto £20000. Cambridge City Council and Peterborough Environment City Trust are supporting this workshop of Green Business Fund hosted by the Carbon Trust.

The morning session will cover training on Understanding & how to reduce energy bills, main areas of energy consumption and access to grant upto £5000 for investment in energy saving equipment by The Carbon Trust.

During second half, there will be a presentation given by Peterborough Environment City Trust on their Business Energy Efficiency Programme. This programme will give the companies onsite energy audits & reports for free so that you can find out best energy efficiency measures to adopt. After this, they can select to apply for accessing grants upto £20000 for covering the chosen measures upto 25% of its cost.

Executive Councillor for Environmental Services and City Centre, Cllr Rosy Moore said that the council work with the companies to motivate and support them in reducing their energy consumption and carbon emissions as a part of their Climate Change Strategy. The participants will get knowledge & advice on energy bills saving and accessing to grants which in turn help them in saving energy cost as well as protecting the environment.
