The 44th Lambeth Country Show has been organised by Eventlambeth and will take place on July 21 & 22, 2018 at Brockwell Park located at Norwood Rd, London SE24 9BJ, UK. The show will begin from 12 noon and last till 8 pm (last entry allowed is 6.30 pm). The show celebrates the best of city and countryside culture and heritage.
The 2017 show became one of the biggest free family entertainment with more than 150000 people attended the festival. The show featured with a farm area, horticultural shows, sheep/owl displays, craft and food stalls, plant competitions, bouncy castle rides, children’s funfair and more of live music, disco, ska, folk, afro-beat, soul, etc. This year also the show is free to enter to all and unticketed.
This year, the organisers has redesigned their show area by increasing the layout to have a better visitor experience and increased the size of the Main Arena & Brockwell Farm. The main funfair will not be available this time, whereas the children’s funfair and bouncy castle & rides will be available to enjoy. The show area will be having various zones that features arts & culture villages & workshops, puppet making, cookery theatre, demonstration village, various sports competitions, home grown Flower & Vegetable competitions, discovery masterclasses & workshops, motorcycle stunt shows, eco village, flower show & talks, crafts, sheep & owl displays and many more. And the hot thing is various food treats around the world in the food stalls available on the days.
Live music will be a major part of the event featuring of all disco, dub, ska, Afro-beat, folk, jazz and soul. There will be excellent stage of local talents with folk, sour & pop, choir with samba bands & steel orchestras in the Village Green stage. The main stage shows musics of local & international performances of soul, funk, disco and other hits on Saturday July 21 and the stage features dub, ska and reggae acts around the globe on Sunday.
