In this summer, Wembley Park is inviting you all to various events which are mostly free. The summer events run from June to September 2018 with the title “Summer of Play” where you can find arts and entertainment activities. Some of the free events are as below.
Summer of Film
Bollywood nights
Free screening of Bollywood movies will be taken place at Arena Square located at Engineers Way, London HA9 0AA, UK as detailed below.
Movie: Sultan on Wednesday – July 25, 2018 at 7 pm (2 hrs 50 mins)
Movie: Chandni on Sunday – July 29, 2018 at 7 pm (3 hrs 6 mins)
All are requested to come early.
Summer of Music
a) International Busking Day
There will be free live music on Saturday – July 21, between 12 noon to 8 pm at Arena Square located at Engineers Way, London HA9 0AA, UK.
International Busking Day is being celebrated on Saturday – July 21 this year step into its 4th year. But the the location of the festival has been shifted from Trafalgar Square into Wembley Park which is supported by the mayor of London. To mark this festival, the team of the GLA’s Busk in London has organised for free events on the day. There will be performances of around 6 continents expected to take place from Tokyo to Rio and Sydney to Reykjavik. You can find more of music, comedy, magic, physical theatre, dance etc at Wembley Park. Come along and enjoy your day with full of music, performances and street food.
b) Free Guitar classes
Are you a beginner or interested to play Guitar? There will be free guitar classes to adults and beginners on every Thursdays at the Yellow Pavilion located at Engineers Way, Wembley HA9 0EG, UK and funded by the Wembley Park community fund. Guitars will be provided to the participants. The timings of classes are for beginner children from 7-18 years at 4:30 pm, intermediate kids at 5.20 pm and adult beginners at 6.10 pm. Summer of Making
Urban gardening
There will be free hands on sessions on urban gardening and if you would like to spend your time, you can come over to the Yellow Pavilion located at Engineers Way, Wembley HA9 0EG, UK on every Tuesdays between 1pm to 3pm. These sessions will help to learn new skills and aimed to provide practical skills, techniques on growing and take care of your plants.
