Free screening of movies in Market Square, Cambridge

Cambridge Business Improvement Districts in association with City Council has arranged for free screening of two movies and night market event at Cambridge. Cambridge BID includes 1200 businesses of city centre which is engaged in promotion of the city for the residents as well as visitors to feel pleasing and safe and clean areas.

Moviegoers can now enjoy the upcoming Cambridge cinema’s monthly movie screening & night market event as below:

  • On Friday – June 22, children’s favourite & Disney animated movie – “Moana” at 6.30 pm and the 1987’s hit movie “Dirty Dancing” starred by Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey at 8.30 pm.
  • On Friday – July 20, kids’ special movie “Paddington 1” and a classic movie “Grease”
  • On Friday – August 17, Kids special “Paddington 2” and block buster Oscar winning musical movie “The Greatest Showman”

The movies will be screened outside the Guildhall in Market Square at 1-6 Corn Exchange St, Cambridge CB2 3QF. Chairs will be allocated on first come first serve basis and all are requested to reach the place early. The visitors are welcome to bring their own potable chair.

The event of Night Market will be open till 10 pm and the visitors will have a different experience by having a night walk in the market and enjoying the the exotic varieties of street foods. The local businesses will sell food, wares, beverages etc at the event.

CEO of Cambridge BID – Ian Sandison said that these events become and well established as family oriented and the same will be continued every month over the Summer. It is a wonderful chance for the visitors and the local community to be together at the event and enjoy the environment and find the availability of products by the local businesses.
