Just imagine those who suffer with hear loss how they face problems while crossing the road, getting into the public transport and the like.
A free half a day workshop named “Living well with hearing loss” is being organised on Saturday – June 30, 2018 by the Cambridge Hearing Trust for those with hearing loss problems in Cambridge. The workshop is scheduled between 9.30 am to 12 noon at The Abbey Room, Christ Church, Cambridge, CB1 1HT and free advice and support will be provided to the participants.
Cambridge University Hospitals’ Audiology Department supports this workshop by its service and sponsored by the Eastern Academic Health Science Network and the Cambridge Hearing Trust.
EAHSN is one among 15 Academic Health Science Networks founded by NHS England across England in 2013 with the motive to campaign the innovations in the health care systems to achieve to improve the health of the society and generate economic growth. Cambridge Hearing Trust is a registered charity beginned its services from 1978 with the aim of reducing the impact of hearing loss on people who suffer in Cambridgeshire. They are engaged in providing services to 6000+ people every year with hearing loss.
The participants will get information on hearing loss, hearing aids, other devices such as TV listerners lip reading etc. They wlll get a chance to listen and discuss about challenging situations with this hearing problems and solutions to come over. The facilitators will speak about the personal experiences of this diability and how to live well.
Director of Cambridgeshire Hearing Help – Amanda Morgan said that the session is aimed at people who are not ready for hearing aid but having concerns about their disability. This workshop will guide them where to go for support, various products available and their usage. The trust is inviting all including family members, friends and carers to take part to support their beloved.
