Free Music Course for youngsters by Astley Youth Band

Astley Youth Band (AYB) has announced 7 days Free Music Courses in this year. The first session was conducted on Feb 17 & 18. Now the second free session is being planned on May 29 & 30, 2018 for the brass instrument players who are under the age of 21 years.

AYB is registered as a charity which was founded in the year 1994. It was formed with the object of promoting brass instrumental music among the youngsters in the local region. The Band was started with 8 musicians, now the strength has grown to 128 members.

The course will take place at Bedford High School, Manchester Road, Leigh, Manchester WN7 2LU United Kingdom between 10 am to 4 pm. There is a concert at 3 pm on the second day.

As the course is a funded activity, all the interested are being invited to attend these free course. Even beginners are also welcome. The participants will be provided with the instruments and taught by the well experienced and professional tutors.

On May 29, there is a coaching given by musicians of The Band of the King’s Division. On May 30th, Ruth Webb and Pat Calcutt will help them in preparation of grade exam. At the end of the session, the attendees will also get a chance to get Certificate of ‘Arts Award’ and they may also get opportunities to take part in the workshops & various music sessions.
