May 26th, 2018 by Sandy

The World Conference for the Well-being of Children was held in 1925 at Geneva – Switzerland, in which representatives from many countries around the world decided to declare a day as Children’s Day to address the issues of children. After the conference various countries adopted June 1 as International Children’s Day.

As a part of International Children’s Day celebrations on June 1, the Cambridge City Council has organised for a free event for school children and their families through its Children and Young People’s Participation Service (ChYpPS) team on Friday – June 1, 2018. The event will take place between 2 to 5 pm at Parker’s Piece, Cambridge CB1 1NA . The event was held last year also at the same place.

The event will have many fun filled activities for children such as crafts, sports, wall climbing, inflatable slider, funny races, loose parts play, Scrapstore shop etc to enjoy more. The ultimate objective of this event is to make the children, who are our future generation, happy and healthy.

The other supporters of this event are Amey and Kinnerz Coaching.

There is no need for booking. Children who wants to take part, please come and join the celebrations and enjoy your great day. Kids under the age of 7 years must be accompanied by an adult.
