Free event on “Dementia Support” in Leamington

Free “Dementia Support Event” is organised on 24th May 2018 in Lemington. The residents of Warwick District who are living with dementia, their carers/ family members and volunteers in local support groups can come and join this free event. The event is scheduled between 10.30 am to 2 pm at the Dormer Conference Centre, Dormer Place, Leamington Spa CV32 5AA. Free refreshments and a buffet lunch will also be available on the day.

The event is organised jointly by the Pam Britton Trust for Dementia, Warwickshire Community and Voluntary Action, Warwickshire County Council and District Council and the motto of this event is to enable the concerned to find out who are all the key agencies providing services for dementia and various other services available in Warwick District. The participants can meet therapy pets and take up various taster sessions arranged by local dementia support groups.

One of the organisers, the Pam Britton Trust for Dementia is a registered charity at Leamington Spa and South Warwickshire. It was founded by Tony Britton, in the name of his wife Pam Britton who suffered and died with Dementia and they are engaged in providing support to those who are suffering with Dementia, their carers and also new local dementia support groups.
