The Google Digital Garage bus, a converted double-decker bus, will be offering people a free digital skills workshop at the Stone Library, (in Market Square) in Staffordshire, on 3rd May. Anyone can pop-in to join the free digital skills training on-site, between 9am and 5pm. The free workshop offers face-to-face digital skill coaching to anyone interested in the double decker bus, which is travelling across the UK, visiting a number of locations. Onboard the Google bus, the topic offered will be First Steps Online, Writing for Social Media and Build a CV.
Staffordshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Community, Gill Heath, sees this as a great opportunity for local businesses and people to learn new skills or grow their business online. Their libraries continue to be great places to learn and to participate e in new activities, the councillor said. The Cabinet Member added that to get confident online, or promote business online, or for those wanting to produce a good CV, one can drop in.
