An open sexual health workshop for young people will be held in Tooting. The workshop on 17 May, (Thursday) is open for all teenagers, 14 to 16 years old, from 4:30pm to 6pm. It will be hosted at the Tooting Hub, on Beechcroft Road, in Tooting (Wadsworth borough).
The free workshop is aimed at encouraging young people to gain a better understanding and knowledge about sexual health and about where to access services. It also seeks to get from them feedback on any services they have accessed. Young persons coming in, get the opportunity to chat with representatives of sexual health from Spectra.
Wadsworth Council has recently commissioned SPECTRA to deliver, via an Outreach, Prevention and Engagement Programme, sexual health services in Wandsworth, to support individuals who are vulnerable/high risk, meeting the qualifying criteria. The service will offer outreach, one to one in-depth support, HIV testing, STI screening, group work, counselling and mentoring.
Spectra is a free health and well-being service that operates in London. The free workshop is being hosted by Spectra and Healthwatch Wandsworth. Additionally, in attendance will be representatives coming from the Wandsworth Council Sexual Health Commissioning Office.
