Free events this April part of Discover Wimbledon

‘Discover Wimbledon’ is a month-long event to encourage more visitors to Wimbledon. The event that started on Easter Sunday, will host over 140 events and promotions and includes a variety of activities.

Find here family fun days, antique evaluations at West Borough’s George Kinder, free pilates sessions, free testing at Organic Hair Cafe, Wimborne Wellness Day, Fudge & Candy Shack’s sweet tombola, tours and walks by Ghosts, Myths & Legends and find at Ockenden and Hemming in the Square, free ring cleaning.

A competition run by Dacombes for locals and visitors offers to showcase their cooking skills and is entitled Wimbledon’s Best Yorkshire Pudding. On 21st April (Saturday), there will be a performance by the male voice choir – Welsh Kenfig Hill Male, at Minster Church of St. Cuthburga.

Tammy Sleet, Manager at Wimbledon BID, said this year Discover Wimbledon has more businesses participating, joining forces to raise their profile and showcase the town. He assured of a warm Wimbledon welcome and many free events, as there is something for everybody with business working jointly to offer opportunities to both visitors and residents.
