The popular toy brand known as Sylvanian Families, will celebrate the launch of their Sylvanian-Families Town series at the shopping centre – intu Merry Hill, on 7th April (Saturday) from 10am to 5pm. The brand will showcase a unique collection here of miniature dresses, which includes Stella Chocolate’s designer studio.
The miniature fashion show is expected to attract big crowds to the Brierley Hill shopping centre in Dudley (West Midlands), where visitors will watch tiny 5cm tall models wearing the first collection and parade rotating on an automated catwalk. The haute couture collection of small handmade bespoke dresses were made exclusively in Japan.
Wannabe fashion designers can enter a competition to design a miniature outfit, putting their skills to test, at the shopping centre. The lucky winner will win a whole town, which is £500 worth and also have the winning design made into a real dress.
Youngsters can meet all through the day Stella and her friends such as, Theodore Maple Cats, Ralph Walnut Squirrel and Freya Chocolate, who all will be singing an dancing on shows at 11am, 12:30pm, 2:30pm and 4pm, that will be held on the lower mall, near Holland & Barrett. They will pose for photos in between shows.
Marketing manager at the centre, Rob Pickersgill, said they are excited to showcase the toy brand on the world’s smallest catwalk, as they are committed to provide visitors new experiences. This is one of many such unmissable free events that visiting families can enjoy at intu Merry Hill, this Easter, he added.
