Get set this weekend for a great Festival of Ideas at Fife

March 18th, 2018 by Sandy

The Festival-of-Ideas 2018 is inspired by Fife’s famous son Adam Smith. The festival promises lots for the whole family, featuring comedy, debate, live music, a film gala and family-friendly fun. The festival has got it all, starting with free events for children to enjoy, right to seeing on stage David Tennant, the star of Broadchurch and Dr.Who, in Kirkcaldy.

The star will be introducing personally the screening of You, Me And Him, his latest film, at the Adam Smith Theatre. He will then join his long-time friend Arabella Weir, his fellow actor too, at a Q&A session that’s a sell-out. Owing to the huge demand for tickets that organisers have decided to stream the session live at the Beveridge Suite.

In the same building, co-host of ‘Bake Off’, Sandi Tovskig, will deliver the Adam Smith Lecture. The acclaimed one man show on Lance Armstrong by Kieran Hodgson, will be performed too. Lights Out By Nine is a double bill of live music here. A bigger and better Kirkcaldy’s Food & Drink Fair will be held next door at the Fife College. All details can be seen at the website – onfife.com, including info on ticket offers, all for a completely enjoyable weekend.
