A food waste road-show in Innerleithen will be holding a free event next week. The Food Waste Reduction workshop will run from 1pm to 3pm, on Wednesday, 1st November, at the Vale Leithen Social Club. The session at the Scottish town in Tweeddale area, is designed to show families how to save money, but at the same time reduce the amount of wasted going into the bin. It is presented by Kitchen Canny and You Can Cook and run in groups.
The Kitchen Canny workshop designed for groups is relaxed and informative, specially run for families to reduce food waste and also save money for them, according to You Can Cook’s Bosco Santimano. He added that making some simple changes to the way we plan the shopping and cooking , anyone can reduce waste and save money. The workshop will include a ‘From Italy to India in an Instant’ – demonstration on flavours, a session similar to the Eat Well for Less show by BBC, called Brand Savvy taste test, a session to help tackle fussy eaters – Picky Wee Jimmy and Dinner with Goldilocks, a session on feeding the whole family and not the bin.
