The Veast of Folk Festival is returning as a three-day event from 14th to 16th September. The festival in its 4th year will bring in a range of local musicians and bands. This includes Tatterdemalion performers on Friday night at the family ceilidh. The festival starts off with 2 free events at The Anchor Inn, on 14th September (Thursday) and on 15th September (Friday). On Thursday, there’s a special session for local bands to perform, the ‘Anchor Session’, from 7pm and on Friday, there will be an ‘acoustic’ sing-along between 1pm &4pm. Although entry is free for these 2 events, donations for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance will be welcome. The family ceilidh returns on 15th September (Friday) to Burton Bradstock Village Hall, with the Tatterdemalion folk group and caller Angela Laycock, from 7pm to 10pm. But this will be a ticketed event.
The final event will be held at The Three Horseshoes pub, on 16th September (Saturday), from 12:30pm to 6:00pm. Local bands like HiDDeN, Whiskey Headed Buddies, More or Less, Lost Souls Bill Cain and others, will perform in the afternoon. There is free entry, however money will be raised for donations and by a raffle, to be given to the RNLL. To get more details, go to the Facebook page- facebook.com/burtonbradstockfolkfestival.
