The TechnoJAM event will be held on 9th September (Saturday) from 11am to 4pm, at Southport College. The Quantum Amateur Radio and Technology Society are running a free session at the venue on Mornington Road. The society which is based in Cottage Lane Mission in Ormskirk, West Lancashire, hopes to widen their network during the session aimed at inspiring all to share knowledge.
Derek Hughes, the society chairman said that the free event organised by the society will enable those interested in all kinds of technology to come together, learn new things and share their knowledge with other fans. TechnoJAM is for all, from beginners to seasoned dabblers, appeals to all ages, welcomes everyone from primary and secondary schools pupils to adults, who have time and want to lean new skills, he added. The chairman said a variety of workshops,like building electronic circuits, how to encrypt and decrypt messages and to use 3D printing, will run at a show-and-tell area and project area, throughout the day.
