The German Bierfest Ashford will be arriving to the town next month, to be hosted in North Park. The town’s biggest Bavarian festival will be setting up a 1,200 seat capacity beer garden and adding an exclusive DJ too at this venue on Tannery Lane. There will be an open air German village, as part of the family-friendly festival known as sommerfest, from 10th August to 12th August, Thursday to Saturday, where there will be a selection of souvenir huts displaying gifts to buy, selling exotic drinks and food.
A 300 capacity beer tent, with traditional long benches to seat guests, will be the highlight of the night. The beers will be served in steins, the giant 2-pint glasses. Children will have an area to enjoy activities like Hau Den Lukas and other German games. Souvenirs include sweet gingerbread, Tyrolean hats and other stuff.
Marvin Kluge, the event manager, said they are setting up, as part of the open air festival which is called sommerfest in Germany, the 1,200 seater beer garden, to celebrate the the spirit of summer and typically with beer.
