Free event at Gloucester Park shows extreme stunts

Gloucester Park will be hosting daredevils with their death defying stunts and action-packed shows, this month in the weekend, on 29 July and 30 July (Saturday and Sunday).

The show on Saturday is led by Mark Stannage with Aaron and Janine, of Stannage International Stunt Team, who have two Guinness World Records for their stunts, who have worked for over fifteen years, all over the world.

The stunt team will be performing not only high falls and tricks with fire, but also motorbike and quad bike stunts. Following this on 30 July, Sunday, the Xtreme Stunt Team will be bringing their list of winners of multiple championships.

Dan Clark, heading the stunt shows Gloucester Park, has wowed crowds with his fantastic displays and stunts for the last fifteen years. Joining him will be a veteran with numerous titles, James Bancroft, of the World Cycle Trials circuit,. The display of these different styles together have a man vs machine theme.

Marketing Gloucester’s Events & Operations Manager, Karen Pearson, said they look forward to bring 2 days of extreme sports, following the success of last year of the ‘Flyin Ryan Motorcycle Stunt Show’. The manager added that the 2 teams with years of experience, is a welcome addition to the line-up of this year’s Summer of Music, Arts & Culture, organised by Marketing Gloucester.

Cabinet Member for Culture and Leisure, Councillor Lise Noakes, said they expect some spectacular shows this weekend and there’s something for everyone in Gloucester this summer. This is a free event taking place from 2pm to 6pm, on both days, and all are welcome.
