Rushden’s party week has music, comedy and fun for all ages

This year’s Rushden’s party week begins on Friday (30 June) with the Hall Park hosting the soap box derby. On 8 July (Saturday) Party in the Park has events lined up for the afternoon and evening at the main arena and the Hall Park’s walled garden. Stannage International Stunt team and Coventry Corps of Drums will perform. A disco in the evening and ‘Undivided” – the boy band tribute group, will end the event.

More than thirty events will take place during the week, leading up to 8 July (Saturday) with the Party in the Park. The Six Week Community Choir will conclude party week on 9 July (Sunday), at Rushden’s Heritage Chapel. Free events in line are – on 3 July (Monday), St. Peter’s Church will host Mainline Big Band. On 4 July (Tuesday), Heritage Chapel will host organist Nicholas Martin. On 5 July (Wednesday), Rushden Athletic Club will host a comedy evening and on 7 July (Friday), Rushden’s Bowl club will host an oompha band event.

All these are free events but the oompha and comedy events will need tickets. Some of the other events include open days, open gardens, St. Ccelia’s Singers concert, various exhibitions, mop hockey, the film-show – ‘I Daniel Blake’, discos, talent shows, young artists display and many more. As some of the event have limited numbers, they will be ticketed.
