A new national initiative, the National Writing Day, will host an open workshop for creative writers on Wednesday, 21st June. The inaugural National Writing Day promoted workshop will be run by a team from Leigh’s Paperback Writers, which is to be held at The Coffee Stop, on Railway Road Leigh. The free open session will run from 10:30am to 12:30pm.
Set up by the First Story charity, in partnership with arts and literacy organisations, the free workshop invites anybody fancying to have a go at creative writing and aims to get more people , especially youngsters, involved in bringing out their imagination and to put pen to paper. Here they can talk to writers to find out more and get invited to do some simple fun exercises. The session is unstable for those with mobility issues, as the place is up a flight of stairs. For more details on the free workshop, just email to Julie at juleswriter@hotmail.com.
