Beacon Park to host free bowls session for MS Awareness Day

Lichfield District Council will host a free session at the bowling green in Beacon Park, in association with MS Society, for an MS Awareness Day. The event will be held on 31st May, from 10am to 1pm. Although aimed at persons living with ‘Multiple Sclerosis’ (MS), the free session is also open to those interested in finding out how those with MS can be helped by participating in bowls.

Cabinet member for leisure, Councillor Ian Eadie, said it is important to raise awareness about this condition as MS has many symptoms like problems with sensation, balance, movement and sight. Although the drop-in free session is aimed at people with MS, all are welcome here as there will be a great deal of bowls activities on Wednesday at the bowling green.
