The Festival of Happiness in Settle brings you many free events

The Festival of Happiness is being organised by Settle Stories , the arts and heritage charity. It will be held in Settle, in the Craven district of North Yorkshire on 27th May , Saturday. Over 25 events are being planned at various venues that include Friends Meeting Hal, Victoria Hall and a Bell Tent.

Comedian Sofie Hagen will be flying in for a one-off performance for her show- Dead Baby Frog. The festival has something for everyone. It is a unique opportunity to brig in the whole family. Hear traditional tales form Africa from artist of Sierra Leone and get a chance to talk to strangers at Feast of Happiness.

Hiphop rapper and storyteller Alim Kamara will be accompanied on African drums by Usifu Salloh, a traditional storyteller. Watch puppets act out stores chosen from across the world. Families heading to the Bell Tent can experience a magical fantasy world. Get the unique chance to get inside a classic ambulance of the 1970s.

These are just a small selection of the events and local groups will also be offering workshops and talks alongside professional entertainment. Festival of Happiness has more than 20 free events making up 80% of the festival which runs on Saturday, 27 May, from 10am to 11pm.
