Free sessions offered by Drifters Waterway Holidays and the Canal & River Trust

The Drifters Waterway Holidays and the Canal & River Trust are giving long boat lovers the chance to try out the sport on a free taster session, on 23rd April at 19 different locations across Berkshire. It will run from 11:00am to 4:00pm and will comprise of skippered narrow-boats offering free short trips, including holiday discounts and boat tours. There is no advanced booking required for the free sessions and people of all ages are being encouraged to join.

The head of boating, Mike Games, at the Canal and River Trust, said for many people the beautiful network of inland waterways can become a lifelong passion that starts on a boating holiday. The free taster session is offered before committing to a week’s break or full weekend, to find out if this sort of holiday can be for you, he pointed out.
