The internet giant’s Amazon Academy is coming to Scotland and will be joining hands with Enterprise Nation, to hold a free event on the 23rd May at the EICC. The event will provide advice for businesses that wishing to set up business online and grow. These businesses, through the Amazon Marketplace, would like to add to the £1.8 billion worth of business exported last year.
The fee event will feature workshops and keynote presentations to help businesses with exports, cutting-edge digital technologies and voice services. Attendees to the one-day event can learn to use internet technologies to improve productivity and revenues, plus grow their exports with help of Amazon’s suite of services (including Alexa and Amazon Marketplace) through their workshops. Amazon’s services offer support, with global delivery & distribution, with also local transactions and currency exchange.
The UK country manager at Amazon, Doug Gurr, pointed out to Scotland’s history of invention, a heritage that is on full display today, as a new generation is using internet technology to grow fast in Scotland’s digital economy. He added that Scottish SMEs have big opportunities to grow using e-commerce and exports. The manager was looking forward to bring both aspiring and established businesses together, to discuss on maximising their success. Registration has opened for the free event.
