All trains of Chiltern Railways now offer free Wi-Fi

Chiltern Railways have installed free Wi-Fi service on all their trains, after being installed just in Mainline trains. Passengers now can get free Wi-Fi on any train they commute in Buckinghamshire. The train service was one of he first, back in 2011, to provide passengers with free Wi-Fi on their long distance routes. The free Wi-Fi service has been expanded to include their commuter fleet in Buckinghamshire and also trains from areas of High Wycombe and Aylesbury, with support from the Department of Transport.

Chiltern launched in July last year an integrated solution for station and train. This service seamlessly connected customers who were online at the station to get on board with a break as they travelled. Now this latest expansion is one of Chiltern’s Wi-Fi projects planned recently and delivered. This year Chiltern Railways aims to launch a project with EE, UK’s major mobile operator. This initiative is to plug the black spots found across their network that can allow customers to talk even in tunnels.
