Sixth UK Dairy Expo returns to Borderway market

One of the most prestigious dairy shows in the country, the UK Dairy Day will return for the sixth year at Borderway Market, Carlile, on 11th March (Saturday). The Borderway UK Dairy Expo with media-partner Farmers Guardian, is one of the calendar highlights of the dairy industry, to be held at the Borderway Exhibition Centre carrying a £15,000 prize pot this year.

Since its launch in 2012, the event has come to be a most prestigious dairy event in Europe. For their flagship dairy showcase Harrison and Hetherington has announced a line-up of British and international judges. The judging panel for this major dairy event has a panel of 5, all experts and respected individuals, coming from the UK, Canada and North America.

In the 67 cattle classes, will be shown 370 head of cattle. Encouraging and inspiring the next generation is the event’s Showmanship Youth Championships, with young breeders from UK and Europe participating. The free event will also see The John Dennison Lifetime Achievement Award being presented, honouring those who have dedicated their life to the dairy industry. Following the show, the Shepherds Inn, Carlile will host the All-Britain Awards and Dance.
