Free cookery workshops for young aspiring cooks will be run at Bridgewater Food Festival coming this February. The workshops will be held by Eat:Festivals. They run the Burnham-on-Sea food and drink festival nearby. They encourage children to be hands on in the kitchen and educate them on basic kitchen skills. The organiser have high hopes for the workshops, being held for the first time this year. They hope the workshops will inspire children to be creative in the kitchen.
The free cookery workshops will be held on 18th February (Sat), from 10:30am, at the Bridgewater Town Hall. Organiser of the workshops Sarah Milner Simons, said they wanted to offer something educational and also fun to aspiring young cooks. She added that 2 workshops will be for 8 to 10 years old and 2 for 11 to 14 years old. Organisers have offered some places to schools and a few walk-up places on the day of the festival.
