As part of the British Science Week, the International Images of Science exhibition showing impressive photography, will open in February. Promising to show some of the best science photography, the annual exhibition will be again hosted at The Hive, which is also one of the world’s longest standing, as it has been held since 1854, every year. The 2017 exhibition will be started from 8th February, until 2nd March, and is open to the public.
The Hive at the Butts-based library was first chosen by the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) to host the annual International Print Exhibition, that attracted thousands earlier this year, to view the collection of distinguished images. A series of workshops will be held to celebrate the science week in March, with children invited to investigate on the theme- ‘Hidden In Plain Sight’. Guided by staff of University of Worcester, the children will investigate on pollen, forensics and sound waves, at the interactive workshops.
The Hive will also be hosting smaller exhibitions on the Lower Ground floor, such as David James’ ‘A Nostalgia for Beauty’ and Mike Hatt’s ‘Fragments’. March will also host the Science of Beauty, a free public lecture. Another exhibition is to be held at Worcester Cathedral.
