A spectacular programme of events await visitors to the Biggar Little Festival, starting this year on the 20th October (Thursday) and running up to 30th October (Sunday). This year’s festival in Biggar, South Lanarkshire, Scotland, is bigger and better than ever, featuring more than 70 events that includes music, dance, drama, comedy, puppetry, fine art, ceramics, exhibitions, books and open workshops. The menu involves gin, beer and food too.
The festival line-up includes comedian MacAuley, a sing-along with tribute act Abba Mania, a dark comedy act by Paul Simon- the Gingerbread Lady, also Beyond the Rainbow- on the life of Judy Garland and the Long and Short of It by Biggar Theatre Workshop. Music includes folk music by Skppinish, as well as jazz by David Patrick Octet.
The Crown Inn will host the Biggar Beer and Gin Festival, offering many varieties of real ales, cidars, craft beers and gins. The Biggar Day Out is a unique free event. There will be arts and crafts workshops, music in the streets, art exhibitions in venues and shops, throughout the 10-day festival.
