The picturesque Suffolk town of Birmingham will play host to a free event called The Big Draw. It will take place on 29th October, Saturday, from 9:30am to 3:00pm, at various locations around the town to promote drawing along with all its many pleasures and uses. With association of Framlingham-Area-Youth-Action-Partnership (FAYAP), Flipside will be organising the free event which will see professional artists encourage the public to try a hand at drawing and feature eye catching visual display to inspire aspiring artists.

Locations include Framlingham Unitarian Meeting House and Library, St Michael’s Church & St Michael’s Rooms and a central base on Market Hill’s market. In attendance will be professional artist, like the famous cartoonist Simon Farr, Graham Giles and Julie of Suffolk Group, as will Jack Stephenson, portrait artist, to display work and inspire you.

Arts Framlingham will sponsor the materials, easels and boards needed for The Big Draw, so that everybody can participate. Participants will be allowed to choose a pencil, pen or charcoal piece to try drawing a still life or follow the town art trail to put to canvas their favourite part of Framlingham. The Big Draw literally is fit for all ages and the free event will culminate in a display of the art produced, celebrating drawing.
