The Omskirk Motofest is a free motoring extravaganza, that doubles into a free family event, is returning on 28th August (Sunday) to the town this year. The Concours d’Elegance competition is a very popular show that helps to attract thousands of people here, which is one of the biggest free family events of the north west. The town centre streets and Coronation Park will have on display over 300 classic and competition vehicles from the different eras of motoring. The vehicles will be in place by 10am, followed by a break period, before the parade laps begin in the afternoon.

The Coronation Park, venue for the Concours d’Elegance competition, will display some of the most superb cars and motorcycles line-ups in a special area where judges will run their expert eyes over the unique models. Each of the 13 classes will have a winner selected, besides an overall winner. The competition is being sponsored by Carequick Ltd Air Conditioning of Halsall.

Council portfolio holder for Planning, Councillor John Hodson, said this wonderful event shouldn’t be missed, as it always is a fantastic free day out for all the family and hoped that town centre businesses will take advantage of this great opportunity. Chairman of Aintree Circuit Club, Mike Ashcroft, said Concour d’Elegance shows off some of the most beautiful cars in a special way at the Motorfest. The Omskirk Motofest is a free event supported by the West Lancashire Borough Council and organised by the Aintree Circuit Club.
