The annual Harbour Festival is expected to brighten up Bristol in the weekend. The annual free event is one of the city’s biggest events and is to take place from 15th to 17th July, (from Friday to Sunday), attracting large crowds with an array of music, dance ad art in (expectedly) warm sunshine. Festivities will begin on Friday at 6pm in the amphitheatre. It will continue on Saturday from noon to 8pm and on Sunday from noon to 6pm.
For this year’s festiva,l Echo and Bunnyman have been confirmed already as headliners to the event. The Lloyds Amphitheatre will have the popular Indie band playing. A line of free events have been arranged at Queen Square, one of the busiest sites of the festival, which is celebrating its 45th anniversary, this year. However, Bristol City Council is reported to be taking precautions to curb anti-social incidents and alcohol consumption during the high-profile festival. The good news for those coming to the free event is that the Met Office has predicted “sunny spells and showers” and possibly light rain but mostly for the hills and coast.
