Roaring Twenties event back for the royal celebration at King’s Lynn

The Roaring Twenties is a 1920s-themed event, which is set to be back in King’s Lynn, as part of the borough’s celebration of the Queen’s 90th birthday in the Tuesday Market Place. The free family event is planned on 12th June, Sunday, to be held from 10am to 4pm, is a fun-filled weekend celebration, transporting visitors back in time with dance crazes, flopper fashion and more.

Ragroof Players will hold a tea dance from 10.30pm to 4pm. They and Bee’s Knees dance troupe will perform.1920s inspired cocktails and mocktails will be served at a cocktail bar. Costumed characters will bring back fashions of 1920s by strolling around the town. The Queen’s birthday celebration will be at 3.30pm, including cutting a birthday cake and a home-made fancy dress competition.

Lynn Museum will be open during the event offering free entry to visitors. Falconry display by Out on a Wing will be at the town hall garden from 10am to 4pm. The event of Roaring Twenties on 12th June will also have the 19th annual fun day of the Lion’s Club of King’s Lynn at The Walks. ‘Celebrate King’s Lynn’ fun day will held here on 11th June (Saturday) from 10am to 6pm.
