The County Durham folk festival is returning this September and will take place from 2nd to 4th September (Friday to Sunday). The Sedgefield Folk Festival is being held for the 11th year. It will have an international flavour. The festival will see artists from all over the world perform at venues across the town. The guest list includes Other Roads, Cathryn Craig from USA, Kieran Goff from Ireland, Brian Willoughby and County Duran-born folk singer-songwriter Jez Lowe.
Joan Edmundson, organiser, said the festival is gradually building up from a small beginning and the last years have seen a sell-out. The festival will have competitions and free events right through the 3 days. Tickets for the County Durham folk festival are on sale ahead of the event.
