North Somerset Council supports free events for Deaf Awareness Week

In support of the Deaf Awareness Week being observed during the first week of May, the North Somerset Council will be hosting a number of events to support it and highlight the kind of challenges which deaf people face everyday.

From 3rd May to 6th May, all are welcome to take the opportunity to visit the Town Hall in Weston to learn more about the support services for the deaf or hearing impaired available in the area. There will be informative displays hosted at the Town Hall in Weston. There will also be the chance to meet experts and discuss any issues regarding hearing here.

The experts, including representatives from the leading charity, Action On Hearing Loss, who wll be offering the free checks on hearing, will be available here.
