Motorcycle enthusiasts will be in for a treat this coming Sunday (1st May), when a great spectacle of motorcycles, named Milford Festival of Motorcycles, will take place at Milford Marina at the Tesco end. Approximately 80 motorcycles participated in the event last year and organisers expect it to be over 100 this year at the venue on Milford Haven Waterway in Pembrokeshire, West Wales.
Seen here will be bikes from the 1920s, right up to modern Enfields. Captain Glyn Garland of Llangwn will organise the event this year, now on its fifth year, under the auspices the Pembrokeshire Vintage and Classic Motorcycle Club, which has over a hundred members. It is a showcase event of the year now and Huw Adams, club chairman, says it is growing from strength to strength. They thank the Milford Haven Port Authority for allowing this free event here. Admission is free to both spectators and to competitor motorcyclists to show off their machines on 1st May, Sunday, running from 11am to 3pm.
