A big new village show is being planned to be held on 16th July, Saturday in Stickney. The venue of the show being hosted from 10 am to 5pm, will be the grounds of William Lovell Academy, Main Road. The free event will have real animal magic featuring reptiles, giant tortoises, falconry displays, a terrier race and a dog show.
Plans are going on to set-up up to 40 craft stalls, that would sell a variety of goods among other things, with also good food and drink. Displays and other activities being planned and include Scalextric racing, vintage vehicles, Brass Band, a ukulele band, gymnastics and a primary school ‘Olympic games’. Children will also find numerous activities that include face-painting, swing boats, magic show, circus skills, bungee run, surfing simulator and a 50 foot assault course and much more. Organising committee member Isabel Dodds said that everyone is really enthusiastic and excited about the event. She added that businesses from near and far have sponsored and help make it a free event and a day out for all, with the main sponsor being Beeswax of Lincoln.
