New exhibition of Nick Sharratt to open at Chapel Gallery

A new exhibition based on the work of Nick Sharratt will be opening on 16th April (Saturday) and will run till 25th June, at the Chapel Gallery in Omskirk, Lancashire. Nick Sharratt is famous for his illustrations of Tracey Beaker, Harry Feather, Daisy and Pirate Pete. The exhibition is titled- Pirates, Pants and Wellyphants, The Illustrated World of Nick Sharratt.

Nick Sharratt himself is arriving to open the exhibition and will be signing copies of his books on Saturday. The exhibition is a creative playground and visitors can get hands-on with these free and colourful artworks. The exhibition has free entry and visitors of all ages are welcome. Free workshops too are being held to promote creativity and literacy. The series of free workshops include Storytelling Sessions (on 19, 20, 22 and 23 April) and Colourful Characters workshops (on 1, 3 and 4 June).

Nick Sharratt also produces his own books. He has written at least 40 children’s books and illustrated nearly 250 more. He also works with authors like Jacqueline Wilson, Julia Donaldson, Michael Rosan and Jeremy Strong. His partnership with Jacqueline Wilson started off in 1991, with The Story of Tracy Beaker, which sold millions in UK.
