Free taster bus tickets and £1 fares by First Manchester

First Manchester will be starting the guided busway services on 3rd April and some incentives have been announced ahead of it. Free taster bus tickets and £1 fares on the Vantage busway service was announced. Customers will pay at the most £1 as promotional fare, for a single trip between Tyldesley, Atherton, Leigh and Ellenbrook in Worsley. This will be offered for at least 6 months.

Free taster bus tickets can be claimed up to 2nd April. Mobile tickets too will be available. The scheme has 3 park & ride sites in Tyldesley, Leigh and on East Lancs Road, provided free for bus travellers. The bus service starts at 4:00am and will continue till beyond midnight. Throughout the day, there will be 4 buses in an hour from Leight to Atherton and the other way around. Facilities include Climate Control, USB charging points, free Wi-Fi and audio-visual ‘next stop’ announcements on the buses. Head of commercial at First Greater Manchester, Ian Humphreys, said he was sure the promotional fares along with value for money tickets will be popular.
