A free event, a show of classic vehicles, will be organised by SADCASE, which is the Storrington-And-District Classic And Sportscar Enthusiasts group, at the Storrington Recreation Ground, which is off Hurston Lane. The free event is being planned for11th July, Sunday, from 10:00am to 4:00pm. The show will also have food vendors, live music and a bar, besides the classic cars, motorbikes and tractors on show.
Chris Mason, a SADCASE member, said they were contacted by the Storrington and Sullington Parish Council for a proposal to host a show of classic and sports cars and could be held some time during the coming summer. This follows the Storrington Village Day being put off the calendar for the second year in a row. Chris Mason said although the club was involved in a number of events across West Sussex, this is the first time they are doing one of their own, hoping the free event would be a success and that people will enjoy it. He added that there will be free entry to visitors, but donations will be accepted from anyone to be given to the Mary How Trust, founded 6 years back, as the local charity is supported by SADCASE.
