Nottingham’s’ next annual festival called Light Night, is all set to be hosted next month, on 5th February, 2016. The event, a grand annual cultural event, is expected to be bigger and better than ever before this time. A grand plethora of lights will be illuminated at Nottingham city centre. The historic Nottingham Castle too will illuminate its grounds as part of the annual festival. Several churches will be also participating in the festival. St. Andrew’s church will be offering cut-price food. A number of school bands will be hosted by St. Peter’s. St. Nicholas’ church will be running its acoustic cafe, offering hot drinks to visitors. The church yard of St Mary’s will be hosting artworks and will offer choral performances and also refreshments. Free workshops for London Remixed Festival
The London Remixed Festival will be held on the 5th and 6th of February, 2016. it is a celebration of best talents emerging in music and genres. Expect remix sound from reggae, ghetto funk, Latin breaks, drum and bass, brass band hip-hop, blues remix, electro swing and many more.
The producers of the rocking festival Continental Drifts are once again joining hands with partners Womfood, Movimientos, Weedburner, Two for Joy, Polka Club and the new vibes and Pressure, plus Arts Canteen. Continental Drifts will also team up with CM Sounds on Friday to offer a day of free workshops – ‘Remix Workshops’, for the music makers , at their school. This will be a great opportunity to work with professional production tutors, established music producers and get tips to progress creatively. Running throughout the day will be sessions for beginners and intermediate remixers. Another Remix Speed Dating session will be held for producers, bands and bodies of industry to share ideas and discuss possible collaborations at Rich Mix.
