The Southport-based consultancy specialising in emergency planning, STORM Consultancy, will be hosting on 18th December, Friday, the ‘Public Venue Counter Terrorist Workshop’. It will be held, at the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool, as a free workshop for venue and public-area managers from this region. Attendees will be given a comprehensive briefing on counter terrorist measures and security.
Managing director of STORM, Jonathan Cunningham will chair the session. The worksop will cover topics about complete security profile reviews, on how to disseminate to staff through training and supervision the counterterrorism procedures and tactics to deal with a terrorist strike. The managing director is a former Army major, an recognized expert on counter-terrorism. He observed that the recent events in London, the Paris attack, all show threats we increasingly are facing. He added that to be fully prepared for any direct or indirect attack, a proactive approach must be developed to terrorism in public venues.
Everyman theatre manager, Hayley Hernandez, said they were happy to enable organisation to be able to participate and learn in the workshop.
