The Greenwich town centre is hosting the annual London Pantomime Horse Race on 13th December (Sunday). The eccentric race brings good fun and fund raising for the Demelza Hospice Care for Children.
This year’s free event is called ‘The Super Hero Edition’. The procession will see real and costumed ‘Super Heroes’ participating. The pre-race ceremony would be starting from King William Walk, at the Devonport House, from 11.30am. Highlights include the ‘Strictly Neigh Dancing’, a pantomime horse dressage show. Veteran comedian, Steve Frost of TV fame, will be hosting it and a winner will be crowned as ‘Champion Dancing Horse’. The NHS Choir will be also performing ‘A Bridge For You’, their Christmas single.
From 12.35pm the Superheroes Procession will start form Old Royal Naval College, to end at Devonport House. The pantomime horse race will take off at 1:00pm. The Prince of Greenwich in Royal Hill, will host the after-race party from 2:30pm to 6:00pm and have the Counterfeit Beatles music performance too.
