Free creative traineeship in fashion, music for young people

November 2nd, 2015 by Sandy

A new scheme developed by Kaplan and This Is Creative Enterprise (TICE), will start this November a 7-week programme, a government-led traineeship for young people between the ages of 16 and 18. The traineeship will offer the opportunity for young people interested in fashion and music, the opportunity for work experience within the creative industry, as well as essential skills for the workplace. The traineeship will help those young people get an apprenticeship or job, but don’t yet have the right skills or experience for it. Under this scheme, trainees will get a 4-week work placement with some of the leading organisations in the North East. Additionally, a 3-week training will be provided with TICE and Kaplan.

To introduce the student to career options, within the fashion or music industry, students will be given a chance to get hands-on experience, like working with a recording-studio, in visual merchandising, retail work experience, e-commerce or customer profiling, plus employability training from Kaplan and themTICE providing with sector training.

Britain’s leading provider in education and training, Kaplan, is now working with TICE the not-for-profit organisation which is dedicated to support young people in exploring the creative industry. Together they aim to develop the ideal creative traineeship programme. For more details on the free training programme , go to website- thisiscreativeenterprise.com or visit website- kaplan.co.uk.
