Free event Wizard’s Workshop soon at Town Hall Gardens, Southport
There’s a completely free event coming to Southport to the Town Hall Gardens, called Wizard’s workshop on Halloween. The event will have magic. Mad science, a wizard’s trail, a creation station, Mirror Mirror Facepainting, fairy dust, pumpkins and candy floss and many other treats by the Preety Little Sweet Company. The Magic Forest has no ghouls, monsters or scary spiders but only family friendly crazy wizards. So children can come and make wands, or hang out a wish on the Wishing Trees, or join the Wizzardly Wizard’s Trail to find a silver star. The free event is being held coinciding on Halloween, which is 31st October, from 1pm to 4pm. The Southport BID at Town Hall Gardens in Southport are organising the event.
Free scuba, swimming workshop for women at Derby
A free event is being organised at the Lonsdale Swimming and Sport Trust to give women and girls a great opportunity to try out snorkelling and scuba . Hundred places are available for the afternoon series, but are being quickly taken up, so apply fast. People aged between 12 and 72 are applying. In a bid to introduce more girls and women to the sport, the British Sub Aqua Club’s East Midlands regional team have joined the campaign ‘This Girl Can’. Participants can make donations that will go to the MNLI and Ovarian Cancer Action. The Lonsdale Pool in Mickleover, has been run by the Lonsdale Swimming and Sports Trust. Organiser Caroline Abrecht said the popular sport of scuba diving and snorkelling in the East Midlands needs to be taken to more women and girls in the area. Free workshop on Transmission Meditation in Edinburgh
A free workshop on Transmission Meditation will be held on 20th October, Tuesday, at the Salisbury Centre, Edinburgh. Transmission Meditation is a form of group meditation and is a combines two forms of yogas. One is Karma Yoga, the other is Laya Yoga. The workshop will be conducted from 7:30pm to 9:00pm at the venue and admission is free. Edinburgh Transmission Meditation Group is organising the session. Participants will be taking part in a group meditation session. No previous experience is required and beginners are welcome. Transmission Meditation was introduced by Benjamin Creme, the artist and author, in 1974 and has today hundreds of groups active across the world.
This workshop will reveal to you the aims, techniques and results of this form of meditation. Transmission Meditation is a group service activity for the benefit of humanity and the world. It is a conscious co-operation for the creation of a pool of higher energy with the help of Masters of Wisdom. It is highly potent, safe and scientific, does not interfere with but can enhance any other spiritual practice/service activity of yours, is non-denominational and proves to stimulate the mind. During the transmission, many experience love and demonstrate it more easily, with some spontaneously receiving healing.
