A great line-up is scheduled for the 53rd session of the Bromsgrove Concerts. The first concert will be held on 25th September (Friday) with the Carducci Quartet performing at Artrix, in the Bromsgrove town. The performance has the musicians Emma Denton on Cello, Michelle Fleming and Matthew Denton both on violin, and also Eoin Schmidt-Martin playing the viola.
The group has been playing all 15 quartets of Shostakovich, to mark his 40th death anniversary. The evening’s performance will also see pieces of Shostakovich’s String Quartets. The group had visited the town back in September of 2012. Although this event is ticketed, there are free tickets available, thanks to the Cavatina Chamber Music Trust offering them to young people between ages of 8 and 25. For the free tickets, the Box Office has to be contacted. For more details and information go to the website- bromsgrove-concerts.org.uk.
