A children’s literature festival is being organised on 29th August, Saturday, as a free one-day event in London, by The Guardian, at Kings Cross. It will feature authors such as Paul Strickland, Philip Reeve and Sarah McIntyre. The Guardian newspaper’s event- Guardian Children’s Book Festival, is part of their wider festival Curious? Powered by Knowledge Quarter.
The line-up also includes Joseph Coelho, presenting the participants with tips on writing poetry. There will be the author of the series Gone, Michael Grant. Also present will be Reeve and McIntyre, the writer and illustrator double-act. They will explain about drawing characters from Dinosaur Roar! The illustrator and author of The Unbelievable Top Secret Diary of Pig, Emer Stamp, will also take part in the festival. Although this is a free festival, tickets should be booked in advance online through their website.
