As part of the Eden Food & Farming Festival, you get a chance to see a free demonstration by the famous sheepdog trainer, Katy Cropper. The rare opportunity to see award-winning trainer with her dogs in action, is at Katy’s Celebrity Sheep Sweep, to be held on 21st July at 2:00pm, at her farm which is near to Shap.
Katy Cropper is famous as the first woman to win the BBC competition- ‘One Man and his Dog’. She was also featured in ‘A Year in the Life of a Shepherdress’ and in ‘Come Dine with Me’, a Channel 4 competition. The festival gives you the rare chance to delve into the lives and to see behind the scenes. Lives of people who are producers of celebrated food and beverages of the district.
The Eden Food & Farming Festival is being held from 17th July to 21st July. Penrith Partnership are organisers and is funded by the Eden District Council, along with Newton Rigg College, Pride in Penrith Lottery, Penrith Business Improvement District and North Lake Glass and with support from discoverpenrith.co.uk.
