The International Jetsport Grand Prix will be attracting jet-ski fans and spectators in thousands to Doncaster soon. The international tournament will be held during the weekend, from 24 July to 26 July at the Lakeside. This is a free event as spectators are free to attend the tournament. The event this year includes heats and also the final race. The event should attract 15,000 spectators over the course of the weekend in July. Competitors featured in the star-studded event include Emily Tucker of Besscarr, Brad Rickaby from Hatfield, plus teams from USA, South Africa, Australia and Thailand among others participating.

Richard Young, business development, tourism and visitor economy officer for Doncaster Council expected 15,000 fans to land at Lakeside, as last year they estimated over 10,000 visitors had come to the free event. Event organiser at Jet-Sport Racing Association, Steve Bushell, remarked that the free event would give a boost to Doncaster’s economy with 140 riders and their pit crews attending, plus the visitors. Julien Bastien from JX Sport Jet Cross World Tour, another event organiser, stated that the event would be broadcast in 67 countries across the world and also live-streamed on the web.
